YOUR CONVERSATION LEADERS
Co-create the conversation | Ask the questions you want answered
TOPIC: Did you drop something? How to go from start-up to scale up and beyond, and take your your culture with you
Ex-Google executive Cameron Adams is a co-founder and Chief Product Officer at Canva, the online design platform with over 15 million users (and one of the most exciting startups in Australia. Unicorn anyone?).
He leads the design and product teams there as well as focusing on future product directions and innovative experiences.
Canva has an incredible culture, built on the values of Be a Force for Good, Empower Others, Pursue Excellence, Be a Good Human, Make Complex Things Simple and Set Crazy Big Goals.
Cameron will share with us how they have built Canva around their culture, from start-up to the company with a $1b valuation that it is today, and will lead the discussion about how we can grow our businesses without leaving our cultures behind.

TOPIC: It’s not just what you do; it’s how you make them feel
Creator of a number of innovative hands-on tools including the Emotional Culture Deck and the CX Deck, Jeremy is passionate about improving human-to-human relationships and lives, living by the philosophy – if your people aren’t engaged, your customers won’t be engaged.
He’s on a mission to help people see that you can design and build your culture by starting with how you want your people to feel – and not feel at work – and then designing rituals, conversations, and structures that in turn shape your culture and brand.
Jeremy will share what he knows about bringing emotion back into the workplace, why it’s so important, and how to create a more empathetic culture as a result.

TOPIC: Which two heads are better than one?: How diverse teams create breakthrough ideas and make smarter decisions
Juliet, a Human Capital Partner at Deloitte Australia, leads the company’s Diversity and Inclusion Consulting practice and co-leads the Leadership practice. She has over 25 years’ experience in human capital, management and law. Juliet works with Executives and global organisations to improve workplace performance through cultural change, focussing on D&I, leadership and culture.
Her latest book, entitled ‘Which two heads are better than one?: How diverse teams create breakthrough ideas and make smarter decisions’, helps leaders understand how to systematically create diverse thinking and take team performance to the next level. She sits on a number of boards and award panels, such as the Telstra Business Awards, Harvard’s Women’s Leadership Board, Macquarie University’s Global MBA Board and the Navy Diversity Council. Her awards include Women Lawyers Association of NSW (Achievement Award), University of NSW (Alumni Award) and Centre for Leadership for Women.
A highly engaging public speaker, Juliet has presented at hundreds of global conferences, including TEDx. She is a PhD candidate at Brunel University London.

TOPIC: Creating a purposeful company
Josh co-founded Humanitix at the end of 2015, the worlds first not-for-profit social enterprises disrupting the ticketing industry by transforming ‘wasted’ booking fees into sustainable funding for indigenous scholarships, meals for school children, and literacy programs for young girls.
Humanitix has quickly established itself as one of Australia’s most innovative charities, having recently won the NSW Premiers Award, and in 2018 being awarded Social Entrepreneurs of the Year in Australia. Humanitix is now funded by the foundations of Google & Atlassian, and has scaled across Australia and New Zealand.
Josh will be sharing with us his thoughts on how to infuse purpose into every role within the organisation and engage team members to deliver their best – even when what they are doing can seem a long way away from the company’s lofty purpose.

The Emotional Culture Deck Taster Workshop
The Emotional Culture Deck was designed to fulfil a simple, but critical, shortcoming in many organisations.
Most organisations and leaders don’t pay enough attention to how employees are or should be feeling. They underestimate how central emotions are to building the right culture and employee experience.
So riders&elephants designed and developed the deck over two years with dozens of organisations around the word to solve this problem.
We will get to play with the deck in this shortened version of the Emotional Culture Deck Masterclass that Jeremy is currently delivering around the world, and understand who we can use it with our teams to guide our check-ins, design our employee engagement, and achieve even better results.

IMMERSE IN AN ENRICHING ENVIRONMENT
Take your experience to another level

As well as sharing the table with some of the biggest names in business today, you’ll get to co-create the conversation in inspiring surroundings. Marrying historical sensitivity with contemporary design, Enero’s 3,500 sqm fit-out has delivered a dynamic space of raw and elegant sophistication.
Co-locating Enero’s businesses has transformed the space into a thriving powerhouse of collaboration and creativity. Key to the space’s success was balancing the needs of each individual business. The result is an office broken into bite-sized neighbourhoods with bump spaces sprawled throughout to encourage connectivity.
And you get to experience it, first hand.
THANK YOU
You and our Official Supporters make this possible
